Absolutely. In fact, nanolinks are the absolute best extension method for fine and thin hair. The beads are so microscopic that they can be placed strategically in areas where traditional, bulkier extensions (like wefts or tapes) would easily show.

How long does the hair last?

With proper professional products and regular maintenance appointments, high-quality nanolink hair last 1 to 2 years. Because the hair is reusable, you will just reuse the same hair at your maintenance appointments!

How often do I need maintenance?

As your natural hair grows, the tiny beads will naturally move down. To keep your extensions safe and invisible, you will need a maintenance appointment (often called a "move-up" or "refit") every 6 to 10 weeks. During this appointment, the extensions are gently removed and reapplied closer to your scalp with brand-new beads.

How long does the initial installation appointment take?

Because nanolinks are applied meticulously strand-by-strand to ensure a flawless blend and safe weight distribution, the initial appointment typically takes between 2 to 4 hours, depending on your natural hair density and whether you are looking for just volume, or both full length and volume.

Daily Life & Styling

Can I wash and style my hair normally?

Yes. I use premium hair extensions from trusted, Canadian suppliers. The hair is 100% human remy hair, meaning the hair is collected in a way that keeps all the hair cuticles intact and aligned in the same direction from root to tip. Because the hair is attached to small groups of strands of your own hair, it moves as natural as your own hair! You can wash, blow-dry, curl, and straighten your hair just like your own! I recommend keeping high heat (flat irons/curling wands) slightly away from the root where the nano bonds are attached. You will also want to switch to an extension-safe shampoo and conditioner (sulfate-free and silicone-free is best) to keep the hair looking beautiful.

Can I put my hair up in a high ponytail or bun?

One of the biggest perks of nanolinks is their 360-degree movement. Unlike stiff tape-ins or heavy tracks, nanolinks flow naturally with your hair. You can wear high ponytails, top knots, and half-up styles right from day one without worrying about bulky tracks showing.

Can I go swimming with nanolinks?

Yes, but with a little extra care! Before swimming in chlorine or salt water, we recommend wetting your hair with clean tap water, applying a leave-in conditioner from the mid-shaft to ends, and braiding it securely, to protect it from chemicals. Wash and dry your hair as soon as you are done swimming to prevent tangling and discoloration from pool chemicals.
